CARLSBAD, CA, October 10, 2008 /California News Articles/ -- "The Keep A Breast Foundation has come a long way in the past eight years, and we are thankful for the support we have received from our local community and partners such as the Young Survival Coalition, Breast Health and Wellness Center, and HealthWalk. Through our outreach programs, we strive to eradicate breast cancer by inspiring young people to adopt lifestyle choices that have long-term health benefits," said Shaney Jo Darden, founder of the Keep A Breast Foundation.

The event on October 12th will showcase 50 plaster casts of San Diego women including Jen Smith, long board champion; Kassia Meador, pro surfer; Amber Everson, singer from the Glossines; Kristin Gundred, singer from the Grand Ole Party and several other local breast cancer survivors. Their casts have been painted by today's top artists and will be auctioned off online with proceeds going to The Keep A Breast Foundation.
