Gamma Zeta Alpha Fraternity, Inc. prepares for a weekend long National Conference that will include business meetings, chapter development workshops and its Inaugural National Awards Dinner.


FRESNO, CA, July 02, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Throughout the year, the National Board of Gamma Zeta Alpha Fraternity, Inc. has been working diligently on an informative and dynamic conference to emphasize its return to the Central Valley.

That event will happen the weekend of July 17-19, 2009, when more than 500 brothers from Gamma Zeta Alpha Fraternity, Inc.'s sixteen chapters converge at Fresno State in Fresno, CA. The National Conference will provide professional workshops, business meetings and chapter development-officer training sessions.

In addition, Gamma Zeta Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is proud to have Fred Ruiz as its keynote speaker. Sold under the El Monterey brand, Ruiz Foods has been selling top quality Mexican dishes since 1964 and is ranked 14th among the top 500 Hispanic-owned businesses in the United States. As an important Central Valley business figure, Mr. Ruiz will discuss the value of hard work, family, our Latino heritage, and the community in general.

The National Conference is also an opportunity to celebrate Gamma Zeta Alpha Fraternity, Inc.'s accomplishments and recognize those brothers and chapters who have exemplified the organization's principles. A massive celebration at Grizzly Stadium will follow the scheduled program.

When the National Board officially chose the theme, "Cultivating Leaders, Strengthening Communities," it immediately looked towards Fresno State as a source of inspiration given the important role that Fresno plays for the San Joaquin Valley and for California Agriculture in general. This will be the first National Conference that will be held at the campus since 1999.
