Walking With Anthony Makes Happily Ever After Come True For Rachelle Friedman With Sponsored Treatment
Non-Profit Organization Provides Funding to Bride Injured At Her Bachelorette Party

LOS ANGELES, CA, October 09, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Walking with Anthony, a non-profit organization raising awareness of the impact of Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), is looking to bring happiness and hope to SCI victims everywhere, one of which is Rachelle Friedman. A recent bride who was paralyzed from the neck down after a tragic accident just days before her wedding, Friedman will receive sponsored treatment at SCI rehabilitation center Project Walk from October 3-21 and, with the help of Walking With Anthony, will be that much closer to a full recovery.

While the wedding has passed, the new bride's triumphant journey continues, as she takes on an intense, activity-based physical therapy treatment at Project Walk. The goal of the sessions ¯ to re-establish patterned neural activity within the central nervous system to hopefully regain function in the paralyzed limbs. After rigorous, long days of treatment, Rachelle will be able to relax at the Homewood Suites Carlsbad, an upscale extended stay that will accommodate her during her stay. With love and support being felt from her family and the founders behind Walking With Anthony, this is sure to be an educational and progressive trip.

"We are so excited to be able to fund Rachelle's treatment at Project Walk," said Walking with Anthony Executive Director Anthony Purcell. "I have seen my own success with physical therapy and it is our goal to help as many SCI victims as possible to receive the same treatment. Rachelle's story is truly inspiring and we hope that we can continue to educate and raise awareness for SCI."

Walking With Anthony is inspired by Anthony Purcell, who was paralyzed after a diving accident in 2010, and can now stand un-assisted thanks to his determination and thorough treatment. With about 12,000 people falling victim to SCI each year, it is the organization's hope to increase SCI research and provide financial assistance to SCI victims.
