HomeAid Inland Empire Announces 2012 Board of and New Executive Director
Ray Osborne has been named Acting Executive Director for HAIE, a Riverside-based non-profit dedicated to supporting organizations devoted to providing shelter, rehabilitation & education to the homeless, abused children and families.

RIVERSIDE, CA, January 22, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- HomeAid Inland Empire (HAIE), a Riverside-based non-profit that works with service providers to build and renovate shelter facilities offering temporary housing for homeless individuals and families, announced its 2012 Board of Directors, and named Ray Osborne as the organization's Acting Executive Director.

Osborne, a homebuilding industry veteran with more than 35 years of experience in sales management and marketing, has served on the HomeAid Inland Empire Board of Directors since 2008. In his new position, he will work closely with the Board and 2012 HAIE President Fred Farr of The Hoffman Company to bring the talents of the members of the Inland Empire building industry as well as other charitable entities together to support the many diverse organizations in the area that are devoted to providing shelter, rehabilitation, and education to abused and abandoned children and teens, homeless individuals, and families and victims of domestic violence.

"I look forward to working with the HomeAid Inland Empire Board this coming year knowing that through our affiliation with the building industry, we can make a difference in our community," said Osborne. "In these tough economic times, we find that our service providers need us more than ever right now. Many are being impacted by more and more requests for help from the community and it is our duty to go the extra mile to insure that our fellow man is cared for.

"All of our Board members have affiliations in the home building or real estate industry, bringing extensive expertise and experience to support HomeAid's mission to build and maintain dignified housing where individuals and families can rebuild their lives," Osborne noted.

Over the past 22 years, HomeAid has built or renovated 21 shelter facilities housing 649 beds and valued at nearly $16.2 million in the Inland Empire area.

Among the service provider organizations that HAIE has benefitted are Olive Crest Children's Centers in Coachella and Perris; Veronica's Home of Mercy II and Casa Merced III in San Bernardino; and Operation SafeHouse in Riverside. HAIE is currently in the pre-development stage on two renovation projects for Operation Safe House, and is nearing completion of another development phase at Veronica's Home of Mercy.
